Community Futures Fraser Fort George Board Chair, Deryl Truman, is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Stearns as the next General Manager. 

 “It is an honour and a privilege to have an opportunity to work with the Community Futures Development Corporation staff, Board members, committees and their many partners in the Fraser Fort George region. 

The Community Futures of Fraser Ft George Board of Directors, committees, and staff have, and will continue to, provided exceptional service to the Fraser Ft George area.  The teams’ support and dedication to clients has been demonstrated with over 100 businesses being started or expanded in the region each year; a trend that we believe will continue to grow.

In addition to this, it is a very exciting time for the Fraser Ft George region as the economy is steadily diversifying and many sectors are proactively moving forward to secure a bright new future for our area.

There are many examples of this movement in the Fraser Ft George region with the mining sector actively pursuing approval of many applications, the tourism industry steadily growing, the health care and education sectors are constantly expanding and transportation industry is making a major surge in development; which we are confident will continue to grow as we become more interconnected with the global economy.

With this, I look forward to working creatively and innovatively with the Community Futures staff, Board, committees, partners, communities and individuals as we continue to develop a diverse and strong economy in Fraser Ft George region.   Together, the future is bright and we can remain a strong sustainable region.”
